What God Is For Me

By Christopher Evan Longhurst

God, for me, is the quiet author,
Not robed in doctrine, but present in nature’,
In the way light pushes through morning mist,
In the slow grammar of tides, in breath, in becoming.
No voice proclaimed, yet every form feels written,
A sentence without words, a rhythm without a page.
